OrthoImplantology: Innovative Adjunctive Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry Techniques

Orthoimplantology is a neologism or new word coined by the author used to describe innovative dental implant and adjunctive orthodontic concepts. A provisional (temporary) dental implant was created by the author to use with 3D digital orthodontic and dental implant technologies. CBCT imaging, intraoral scanning and 3D additive printing technology is the foundation or cornerstone of Orthoimplantology. The technology described in this Keynote Lecture has made implant dentistry safer with use of CBCT pre-surgical planning and printed surgical guides used in implant insertion protocols. The presentation illustrates increased access to care with the novel affordable temporary dental implant solution.
